“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20

Community Transformation
Some of the common methods employed by society to transform our communities is through grass-roots initiatives, government policy development, social campaigns, and media. Many of these endeavors are worthwhile and much needed. However, we believe that true community transformation can only come through the gospel of Jesus Christ!
God made the world perfect and whole but then sin entered the picture. As a result, our society has been broken and we have been trying to redeem it in our own strength, but it never worked. Thankfully, God stepped in. His plan all along was to send His son, Jesus, to redeem humanity and all of creation. Jesus lived a perfect life, and yet he was crucified on the cross for our sin. But the good news is–He rose from the dead and redeemed all of creation through the shedding of his blood and resurrection. Now, we wait in eager anticipation for the culmination of all of God’s promises. We can have a born-again relationship with Jesus now, but we are still waiting for the time that Jesus will return and restore all of creation!

But what do we do in the meantime?
Before Jesus ascended to heaven, he commanded his disciples to “go and make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28:18-20). This still applies to us today. Our purpose is to glorify God and our mission is to spread the good news of Jesus so that others can follow Him.
City Life NOLA is committed to equipping people to use their Bible to lead people to Jesus. We use a process called Discovery Bible Study (DBS). DBS is a simple inductive Bible study process that allows the Spirit of God to use the Word of God to make obedient disciples, who then teach others to do the same.
Do you want to see community transformation?
Share Jesus. Make disciples. Obey the Word.
