Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
— Matthew 28:19-20
City Life NOLA is committed to ministering to the lost and searching in the city of New Orleans. Before Jesus ascended to heaven, he commanded his disciples to “go and make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28:18-20). This still applies to us today. As Christians, our purpose is to glorify God and our mission is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ so that others can come to know Him.
Here at City Life NOLA, we love equipping people to use their Bible to lead people to Jesus. We use a process called Discovery Bible Study (DBS). DBS is a simple inductive Bible study process that allows the Spirit of God to use the Word of God to make obedient disciples, who then teach others to do the same. You can learn more about DBS here.
Often, in order to minister to a person’s spiritual needs, we must first meet their physical needs. That’s why we lead a number of ministries here in the New Orleans community. Each ministry provides our team access to the community, giving us an opportunity to build relationships and identify persons of peace, with the goal of starting Discovery Bible Studies.
